Samsung is doing everything possible to stay in the race with Apple for smartphone supremacy and is even thinking about winning the race. In order to do so they will need to charge on every possible segment and try to snatch as many customers as possible. Following this idea they have come up with the GALAXY Express, a 4G ready phone with a cheap price tag.
They know that 4G is going to be the next big thing and everybody is going to crave it but not all will be able to afford it. In order to lower the price they had to cut back on some other expensive tech like the processor that will be a 1.2 GHz dual-core and the display that will run a far-from-HD 800×400 resolution.
Even so Samsung Galaxy Express still comes with some cool features like a big 4.5” screen running on Android 4.1 and a 5MP camera that can output media to your big-displays with a MHL connector.
We yet have no idea on the amount you have to pay for the Samsung Galaxy Express and there is a scent of gamble in the air as the 4G capabilities might not mean that much without the pricier tech that has been removed and that goes hand-in-hand with the big-speed-downloading capabilities. I guess it will all depend in the end on how low the price will go.
